I have had a few consultations, but I feel Dr Diaz was more in-depth with me and my medical situation than any others I have attended which made me feel much more at ease.

A year and a half after having 1,500 follicle units transplanted by Dr Diaz at Elite Hair Restoration, I have regained the confidence that I lost due to male patten baldness. I can honestly say, that the decision to have the FUE procedure undertaken, was one of the best I’ve ever made. It has literally changed my life beyond recognition. I started getting results within 2-3 months of the procedure, and within 10-12 months, I had an amazing head of hair. I had a follow up, after 6 months with Dr Diaz and Andrew. They were both impressed by the level of hair growth. This could be because, following the procedure, I also started taking Finasteride and applying Minoxidil (to retain the hair that was not transplanted – the transplanted hair being resistant to hair loss). I had met Dr Diaz, about a year and a half before finally deciding to have the procedure. Having FUE was not something I took likely, and I did a huge amount of research before deciding on Elite Hair Restoration. I knew it was a clinic I could trust, because I had met Dr Diaz twice prior to having the procedure. The other important factor in choosing Elite Hair Restoration, was the location of the clinic, which was right on my doorstep in Manchester. I have noticed a lot of clinics have sprung up in the UK and abroad, which seem nowhere near as professional as Elite Hair Restoration. Scarce reviews and dodgy locations are something that I would advise people to be aware of. Having a UK based clinic provided me with major reassurance. Also please be aware that when you search for clinics, they may say they are based in a near-by location, but the clinic can be in another part of the country. If you look on Googlemaps, you can sometimes see their “clinic” is not a clinic at all. Dr Diaz is a great surgeon, and also an honest one. During my 6 month follow-up, I mentioned my concerns about the lesser hair loss at the back of my head which was not transplanted. He advised me, that Finasteride would rectify this. This honesty is a sign of a good surgeon, I feel. The other great thing about this clinic is the aftercare. I was issued with medications (antibiotics and steroids), special shampoo and liquid to apply to my scalp. An existing skin condition was taken into account by Dr Diaz, who varied my medication accordingly. Andrew is also available to answer your post-procedure questions and concerns. I sent him pictures of my post-procedure hair via WhatsApp and his reassurances, were a major source of comfort at a delicate time in my life. In terms of the less positive things about the procedure, I would say I should have had, maybe 2,000 Follicle units implanted, because my hair is still a bit thin at the back, which limits potential hairstyles. I also wish my hairline was not as high. Also if you do have the procedure undertaken, I would recommend you bring a loose-fitting cap to put on your head afterwards, as walking from the clinic to your car can be intimidating. People will stare at you, and this can be upsetting if you are sensitive to these things. Also, while Dr Diaz is a superb surgeon, part of the procedure was undertaken by an assistant who was a little abrupt. In summary: I would highly recommend Elite Hair Restoration, Dr Diaz and his assistant Andrew. Indeed I have friends who are suffering from MPB, who I have had no hesitation in recommending the clinic to. Having FUE undertaken, is a big decision to make, but I can assure you, it will change your life in the most positive way imaginable and boost your self-confidence and self-esteem beyond your wildest dreams.
